Split-Side

Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Split-Side uses a minimal set of cookies — only those strictly necessary to operate the Service.

Cookies we set

CookieSet byPurpose
sb-access-token
sb-refresh-token
Supabase AuthMaintains your login session. Required for the Service to function. Expires with your session or after 1 hour (refresh token lasts 7 days).

We do not set advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No third-party cookies are placed on your device by Split-Side.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for page-view statistics. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers — it derives anonymised visitor counts from HTTP headers only. No personal data is stored or shared with advertisers.

Bot protection

The login page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated bots. Turnstile may read device and browser signals (not stored as a cookie on your device) to generate a one-time challenge token. No persistent tracking identifier is stored.

Do I need to consent?

Under UK GDPR and the UK PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent — they are essential for the service you have requested. Because we use only session cookies for authentication, no cookie banner or consent pop-up is required.

If we introduce any non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and add an appropriate consent mechanism before doing so.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Blocking the Supabase session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
